Business Profile
Inland Printers Ltd is engaged in the designing, typesetting, printing, binding and direct mailing/courier delivery of printed products. Starting off with an installed capacity of 540 mn standard printing impressions a year, the capacity was enhanced to 1171 mn during FY97. To fund its expansion plans, the company entered the capital market in April 1995 with Rs120-mn equity shares. Inland Printers mainly caters to mass printing needs of corporates, like offer documents, annual reports, etc. During FY98, a steep decline in primary market activity, and a fancy for the private placement route helped in dragging down demand for printed products. Volumes shrunk, and the company went into the red in FY98 with a Rs 84.6-mn loss.

Future Plans
Inland Printers proposes to consolidate by taking advantage of the economies of scale arising from its expansion. The company aims to be a one-stop shop for its corporate clients.
