Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company  announced a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 2015.  During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 31.24% to Rs 1,480.30 million from Rs 1,127.90 million  in the same quarter last year.

Revenues for the quarter  rose 9.25% to Rs 10,600.00 million, compared with Rs 9,703 million for the prior year period.

Operating margin for the quarter stood at 21.13 percent  as compared to 17.60 percent for the previous year period.  Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 2,239.60 million, compared with Rs 1708 million in the previous year period.

Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 9.47, registering 23.47% growth over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 9.8, or 1.56%, to settle  at  Rs 636.75.  The total volume of shares traded  was  1,573 at  the BSE (Friday).
