AksharChem (India) has planned a shutdown of H-Acid Plant at Village lndrad, Dist: Mehsana with effect from July 8, 2021 to carry out major repairs and maintenance. The shutdown is expected to last up to July 19, 2021. 

The company's net profit declined 4.13% to Rs 55.7 million in the quarter ended March 2021 as against Rs 58.1 million during the previous quarter ended March 2020. Sales rose 8.05% to Rs 753 million in the quarter ended March 2021 as against Rs 696.9 million during the previous quarter ended March 2020.

For the full year, net profit dropped 20.48% to Rs 125 million in the year ended March 2021 as compared Rs 157.2 million in year-ago-period. Sales declined 5.25% to Rs 2464.8 million in the year ended March 2021 as against Rs 2601.5 million during the previous year ended March 2020. 

Shares of the company declined Rs 2.55, or 0.69%, to trade at  Rs 365.30.  The total volume of shares traded  was 1,439 at the BSE (2.45 p.m, Wednesday).
