Ashok Leyland, one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, on Monday reported a rise of 19% in sales (domestic + exports) during February 2021 at 13,703 units as against 11,475 units in February 2020.
LCV sales were up 44% at 5,901 units in February 2021 as against 4,107 units in February 2020. Total M&HCV Trucks and bus sales stood at 7,802 units and 7,368 units, respectively.
Domestic sales rose 20% Y-o-Y in February 2021 to 12,776 units as compared to 10,612 units in February 2020. Domestic LCV sales increased 46% Y-o-Y to 5,662 units, as compared to 3,867 units in February 2020.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.95, or 2.28%, to settle at Rs 132.60. The total volume of shares traded was 2,985,049 at the BSE (Tuesday).
