NTPC Q3 consolidated net profit rises 15.7%

 NTPC, the country's largest power producer, reported a 15.67% rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 38,763.6 million for the quarter-ended December.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 33,512.8 million for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Consolidated revenue from operations of the company grew 3.96% to Rs 2,75,260.3 million for the quarter compared to Rs 2,64,783.3 million for the same period a year ago.

Total expenses increased 4.14% to Rs 2,42,833.1 million for the quarter compared to Rs 2,33,180 million for the same period a year ago.

NTPC EPS increased to Rs 2.86 in December 2020 compared to Rs 1.79 in December 2019.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.85, or 1.9%, to settle  at  Rs 99.05.  The total volume of shares traded  was  2,271,496 at  the BSE (Thursday).
