Maruti Suzuki India sales down marginally in November'18

Maruti Suzuki India, India's leading passenger vehicle manufacturer, reported 0.7 per cent decrease in total sales at 153,539 units in November against 154,600 units in the year-ago month.

The company said, ''Domestic sales stood at 146,018 units, up 0.5 per cent from 145,300 units in November last year.''

The company's exports were down 0.7 per cent to 7,521 units as compared with 9,300 units in the same period last year.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till Nov. 30, 2018, rising 11.05% compared with the Sensex's 5.09% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 19.37% as against 6.34% fall in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 23.8, or 0.31%, to trade at Rs 7,688.40. The total volume of shares traded was 10,302 at the BSE (9.56 a.m., Monday).
