Indian equities are trading flat on Wednesday. The Sensex was trading up 19.46 points or 0.06% at 35,179.82 with 10 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 5.60 points or 0.05% at 10,733.75 with 36 components falling.
Major gainers in the 30-share index were Kotak Mahindra Bank (5.23%), Bajaj Auto (2.65%), Cipla (1.86%), Reliance Industries (1.41%), Tata Motors (0.97%), and Dr Reddy'S Laboratories (0.64%).
On the other hand, I C I C I Bank (2.29%), Tata Steel (1.69%), State Bank Of India (1.56%), Hindustan Unilever (1.36%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.05%), and Wipro (0.99%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 962 advances against 1,094 declines.PC Jeweller topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 589.27 million. It was followed by Max Financial Services (Rs. 315.45 million), Bandhan Bank (Rs. 283.75 million) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs. 265.99 million).
The volume chart was led by Reliance Communications with trades of over 10.23 million shares. It was followed by PC Jeweller (4.78 million), RMG Alloy Steel (3.02 million) and Reliance Naval and Engineering (2.11 million).
