Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a rise of 65% in sales to 404,429 units in June 2018 compared to 244,878 units sold in the same period last year.
The company's domestic sales increased to 234,576 units from 126,975 units sold in June 2017.
The company's exports up 44% to 169,853 units in June 2018 from 117,903 units sold in June 2017.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Jun. 29, 2018, falling 2.62% compared with the Sensex's 0.73% rise. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 1.12% as against 7.45% rise in the Sensex.
Shares of the company gained Rs 65.9, or 2.34%, to trade at Rs 2,877.05. The total volume of shares traded was 5,491 at the BSE (9.21 a.m., Monday).
