Heritage Foods commissions 2.1 MW wind power project in Andhra Pradesh

Heritage Foods (India), one of the private sector enterprises in India, has commissioned its first wind power Plant 2.1 MW capacity at Chinahothur Village, Vajrakarur Mandal, Ananthapur District in Andhra Pradesh on March 27, 2016 for captive consumption.

This plant is expected to generate 5 million Units per annum to be utilized, consumed at Gokul Dairy Plant and Chittoor Dairy Plant of the Company under captive open access arrangement through APTRANSCOM / APSPDCL. It's S90-97 90 Meters Hub Height potential to generate more Elect Units than regular WEGs one of the latest generation technology available in Indian Wind Power Market.

The successful commissioning has largely been possible due to the unstinted efforts of Suzlon Group Company. The professional approach helped the company to achieve the plant commissioning within 90 days and connected to AP TRANSCO 33KV Pooling Sub Station at Vajrakarur Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh. The plant will be maintained by Suzlon Group Company for initial period of 10 Years.

Shares of the company gained Rs 7.5, or 1.45%, to settle at Rs 524.75. The total volume of shares traded was 1,624 at the BSE (Monday).
