Strides Arcolab  announced a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2015.  During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.20 times to Rs 418.59 million from Rs 189.86 million  in the same quarter last year.

Revenues for the quarter  rose 6.09% to Rs 2,697.86 million, compared with Rs 2,543 million for the prior year period.

Operating margin for the quarter stood at 6.96 percent  as compared to 11.45 percent for the previous year period.  Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 187.87 million, compared with Rs 291.24 million in the previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 12.95, or 1.04%, to trade at  Rs 1,261.45.  The total volume of shares traded  was  119,296 at the BSE (1.28 p.m., Thursday).
