Indian equities surged nearly 400 points for the second day on Friday on the back of strong global cues. Realty, power and PSU stocks led the upmove. At 11.01 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 399.90 points or 1.52% at 26,631.09 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 104.75 points or 1.32% at 8,053.70 with 46 components gaining.

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Vedanta (5.76%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (5.55%), NTPC (4.36%), Hindalco Industries (4.16%), Bajaj Auto (3.37%), and Axis Bank (3.18%).

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra (0.45%), and I T C (0.28%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.

The Realty index was at 1,314.28, up by 30.28 points or by 2.36%. The Power index was at 1,894.70, up by 41.45 points or by 2.24%. The PSU index was at 7,006.20, up by 140.54 points or by 2.05%.

Market breadth was positive with 1,591 advances against 506 declines.
