Shares of Trident jumped 5% today after the company commenced commercial production of 'Tri-Safe' washing powder with effect from Aug. 2, 2021 at its Budhni facility in Madhya Pradesh with current installed capacity of 10MT/Day.

Trident with this new venture, intends to reach every household of India by offering an affordable and effective washing solution.

Tri-Safe is infused with neem, a natural herb and part of the Indian ethos, to deliver good hygiene and intense cleaning for whites as well as colours. The project has been financed through Internal accruals only.

The project shall help to expand the chemical business of the company and shall further increase the market presence in the chemical segment.

 Shares of Trident are trading at Rs 21.30, up Rs 1, or 4.93%  at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 12.39 p.m.

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 21.30 and low of Rs 19.35. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 9,362,850.

Currently, the stock has touched its 52-week high of Rs 21.65 and 52-week low of Rs 6 on August 2, 2021 and September 30, 2020 respectively.
