Torrent Power participated in the competitive bidding process (by way of E-reverse auction process) conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on September 25, 2018 for setting-up of 1200 MW ISTS connected wind power projects, and emerged as one of the winning bidders for capacity of 115 MW project.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till Sep. 25, 2018, falling 6.82% compared with the Sensex's 4.18% decline. It underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 3.38% as against 3.33% rise in the Sensex.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.15, or 0.5%, to settle at Rs 229.25. The total volume of shares traded was 71,420 at the BSE (Wednesday).
