Sri Ramakrishna Mills (Coimbatore) (SRML) was incorporated in 1946 as a public limited company. The company is mainly into the manufacturing of cotton yarn and synthetic staple fibre. SRML started commercial operation in 1951 at the Ganapathy unit in Tamil Nadu. In 1984, SRML started a second unit at Nagari, Andhra Pradesh and later a third unit at Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu. SRML is a member of the South India Textile Research Association.
