In April 2002, Swedish firm Sandvik AB announced the second open offer for SAL to take its stake in the Indian arm to 100 per cent and get the latter delisted from Indian bourses. Sandvik AB had hiked its stake to 92.17 per cent after the first open offer, it said, adding the final offer is for 1.55 lakh shares at Rs 850 per share.
