JSW Steel, an integrated steel manufacturer, on Thursday, registered a growth of 10% to 13.67 lakh tonnes crude steel production in May 2021, as compared to 12.48 lakh tonnes in May 2020.
Out of the total output, the production of rolled products (flat) stood at 9.99 lakh tonnes and the production of rolled products (long) stood at 3.09 lakh tonnes in May.
The capacity utilization remained at 91% in May’21 as the Liquid Oxygen supplies were over 30,000 tonnes for medical purposes in May’21 from the Steel Complexes of the Company across India, as against over 20,000 tonnes in April’21.
Shares of JSW Steel are trading at Rs 711, up Rs 13.05, or 1.87% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 12:18 p.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 718.85 and low of Rs 699.10. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 339,935.
Currently, the stock is trading down 8.02% from its 52-week high of Rs 773 and above 284.95% over the 52-week low of Rs 175.95.
