Hinduja Group's flagship firm Ashok Leyland Ltd. has reported 90 percent decline in total vehicles sales at 2,179 units in March.
The company had sold 21,535 units in the same month last year. Total domestic vehicles sales stood at 1,787 units in March against 20,521 units in the year-ago period - a decline of 91 percent.
Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles in domestic market fell 90 percent - from 15,235 units in March 2019 to 1,498 units last month. Light commercial vehicle sales stood at 289 units as compared to 5,286 units in March 2019, down 95 percent.
Shares of the company declined Rs 1.95, or 4.53%, to settle at Rs 41.10. The total volume of shares traded was 1,297,044 at the BSE (Wednesday).
