Ashiana Housing, a real estate developer sales booking jumped more than two-fold to Rs 2,997.1 million during the fourth quarter of last fiscal (FY21) as demand recovered. Its sales bookings stood at Rs 1,459.6 million in the year-ago period.
In volume terms, sales bookings increased to 8.31 lakh sq ft in January-March quarter of last fiscal from 4.14 lakh sq ft in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During 2020-21 financial year, sales booking, however, dropped to Rs 5,347 million from Rs 6,716.3 million in the previous year. In terms of volume, sales bookings fell to 14.98 lakh sq ft last fiscal from 19.82 lakh sq ft in 2019-20.
"1,131 number of units were booked in FY'21 vis-a-vis 1,505 units booked in FY'20," Ashiana Housing said.
Shares of the company gained Rs 15.40, or 11.16%, to settle at Rs 153.35. The total volume of shares traded was 55,740 at the BSE (Tuesday).
