MCX Comdex – The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities was down by 0.44% at 2,292.21 points, MCX Energy was down by 0.68% to 2,370.33 points, MCX Metal was down by 0.34% to 2,591.05 points and MCX Agri was down by 0.11%.

Bullion: 
All bullion contracts reflected mixed trend. Gold August 09 contract was down by 0.09% Rs 14,471 per 10 grams. Gold M September 09 contract lost by 0.09% to Rs 14,479 per 10 grams. Silver December 09 contract moved up by 0.11% to Rs 21,754 per kg and silver M August 09 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs 21,647 per kg.

Gold guinea September 09 contract went down by 0.11% to Rs 11,451 per 8 grams. Platinum December 09 contract shrank by 0.69% to Rs 1,872 per gram.

Metals:
Metal contracts reflected negative trend. Copper August 09 contract lost by 0.69% to Rs 1,872 per kg, Nickel July 09 contract went down by 0.78% to Rs 784.70 per kg, Aluminium July 09 contract was down by 0.51% to Rs 78.00 per kg, Lead September 09 contract declined by 1.03% to Rs 82.05 per kg and Zinc July 09 contract went down by 0.33% to Rs 75.05 per kg.

Energy:
All energy contracts showed mixed trend. Gasoline August 09 contract was down 1.09% to Rs 86.15 per US gallon, Crude oil September 09 contract was down by 1.28% to Rs 3,312 per barrel, Natural gas July 09 contract shrank by 1% to Rs 178.30 per mmBTU, steelGZB July 09 contract went down by 0.22% to Rs 22,190 per ton, heating oil July 09 contract was down by 1.15% to Rs 81.70 per US gallon and CER August 09 contract gained by 3.33% to Rs 775 per ton.

Agri commodities:
Agricultural contracts which gained includes, chana July 09 contract gained by 0.18% to Rs 2,309 per 100 kgs, sugarMDEL July 09 contract went up by 0.20% to Rs 2,465 per 100 kgs, potato July 09 contract was high by 0.81% to Rs 1,068 per 100 kgs, potatoTRWR September 09 contract gained by 0.87% to Rs 1,196 per 100 kgs, mentha oil September 09 contract rose by 0.25% to Rs 526 per kg and wheat August 09 contract went up by 0.15% to Rs 1,100.30 per 100 kgs while contracts which lost include Almond September 09 contract lost by 0.15% to Rs 330.75 per kg, jute September 09 contract lost by 0.48% to Rs 2,382 per quintal, cardamom October 09 contract shrank by 2.42% to Rs 805 per kg, CPO September 09 contract shrank by 0.40% to Rs 327 per 20 kgs and refsoyoil September 09 contract was down by 0.49% to Rs 477.10 per 100 kgs.

Gainers / Losers:
CER August 09 contract gained by 3.33% to Rs 775 per ton while cardamom October 09 contract shrunk by 2.42% to 805 per barrel.
