Indian markets continues trade higher on Thursday amid strong global cues. At 1.52 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 164.38 points or 0.64% at 25,940.12 with 23 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 51.10 points or 0.65% at 7,882.70 with 35 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (4.17%), Tata Motors (3.63%), Coal India (2.27%), Tata Steel (2.09%), Reliance Industries (1.89%), and Hindalco Industries (1.63%).
On the other hand, Dr Reddy's Laboratories (7.76%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.58%), Bajaj Auto (0.54%), Maruti Suzuki India (0.27%), Cipla (0.16%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.09%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 1,528 advances against 944 declines.
