Sensex trades 13 points lower; Bajaj Auto up; Bharti down

Indian markets remained flat in noon trade on Monday ahead of RBI's fifth bi-monthly monetary policy review on Tuesday. The RBI is expected to keep key interest rates unchanged tomorrow.

The Sensex was trading down 13.29 points or 0.05% at 26,114.91 with 13 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 5.10 points or 0.06% at 7,937.60 with 26 components falling.

Biggest losers in the 30-share index were Bharti Airtel (1.60%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (1.37%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.34%), GAIL (India) (0.91%), Hindalco Industries (0.90%) and Reliance Industries (0.87%). 

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto (1.94%), Tata Power Company (1.81%), ICICI Bank (1.63%), Tata Motors (1.63%), Maruti Suzuki India (1.20%) and Larsen & Toubro (1%) were the major gainers in the Sensex

Market breadth was negative with 1,420 advances against 775 declines.
