Indian markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 9.31 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 31.24 points or 0.09% at 34,532.51 with 15 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 17.80 points or 0.17% at 10,588.35 with 27 components gaining.
Major gainers in the 30-share index were Reliance Industries (1.22%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.78%), Hindustan Unilever (0.71%), Sun Pharma (0.64%), Tata Consultancy Services (0.60%) and Asian Paints (0.58%).
On the other hand, Wipro (4.06%), ICICI Bank (0.97%), Hero Motocorp (0.93%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (0.84%), Bharti Airtel (0.71%), and Axis Bank (0.66%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was negative with 705 advances against 561 declines.
Indiabulls Real Estate topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 322.27 million. It was followed by PC Jeweller (Rs. 157.54 million), Indiabulls Ventures (Rs. 154.07 million) and Housing Development Finance Corporation (Rs. 115.05 million).
The volume chart was led by Reliance Communications with trades of over 1.94 million shares. It was followed by Karuturi Global (1.76 million), Reliance Naval and Engineering (1.63 million) and Indiabulls Real Estate (1.47 million).
