Indian equities pared some of their initial gains on Thursday. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 66.12 points or 0.25% to settle at 26,257.80 with 19 components registering rise. While the broad based NSE Nifty closed flat with a gain of 2.00 points or 0.03%, at 7,950.90.29 components registering rise.

The major gainers in the 30-share index were Lupin (3.62),  Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (2.57%), Tata Consultancy Services (2.01%), Dr Reddy's Laboratories (1.80%), Larsen & Tubro (1.54%) and ONGC (1.22%).

On the other hand, Bharat Heavy Electricals (2.85%), GAIL (India) (2.60%), Maruti Suzuki (2.33%), Vedanta (1.82%) and Housing Development Finance Corporation (1.15%) were the major losers in the Sensex.

The Healthcare index ended at 18,039.28, up by 260.11 points or by 1.46%. The Consumer Durables index was at 10,905.90, up by 96.29 points or by 0.89%.
