Indian equities are trading on a flat note with positive bias on Tuesday. Realty and consumer durables stocks are higher in late morning trade. At 11.20 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 23.47 points or 0.08% at 28,232.23 with 15 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 20.60 points or 0.24% at 8,542.75 with 27 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Coal India (1.89%), Wipro (1.64%), Housing Development Finance Corporation (1.33%), State Bank Of India (0.83%), Tata Steel (0.60%), and Axis Bank (0.49%).
On the other hand, NTPC (2.54%), Hindalco Industries (1.19%), Hindustan Unilever (0.97%), Reliance Industries (0.88%), Hero Motocorp (0.78%), and Vedanta (0.74%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
The Realty index was at 1,454.23, up by 19.86 points or by 1.38%. The Consumer Durables index was at 10,819.22, up by 63.01 points or by 0.59%. On the other hand, the Auto index was at 18,997.88, down by 25.12 points or by 0.13%.
Market breadth was positive with 1,587 advances against 597 declines.
