Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking the SGX Nifty and Asian markets, said Angel Broking in its report.

The U.S. stock market opened the first trading day of the new week with a rally on Monday, after a centrist candidate finished the first round of France's presidential election on top.

The European markets surged higher Monday after centrist Emmanuel Macron won the first round of voting in France on Sunday. Macron now moves ahead to the final round of presidential election on May 7, helping ease concerns over political instability in Europe.
