''Indian markets are expected to open flat to negative on the back of a negative closing of the US markets on Friday as the possibility of an interest rate hike in the US increases. Key earnings in Indian markets would also be decisive in any directional move,''said ICICIdirect.
Domestic markets ended positive as sentiment remained buoyant on continued hopes of a rate cut by the RBI at its policy review early next month. Also, some support came on the back of the government's decision to relax FDI norms for NRIs, PIOs and OCI.
US markets ended negative after hawkish remarks from the Federal Reserve Chairwoman, who said the central bank will likely raise interest rates this year, as long as economic activity picks up.
