SBI slashes BPLR by 50 bps

State Bank (Q,N,C,F)* of India (SBI), the largest lender in country has revised its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) today.

SBI reduced the BPLR by 50 bps from 12.25% p.a. to 11.75% p.a. effective from June 29, 2009.

Shares of bank gained Rs 8.15, or 0.48%, to settle at Rs 1,716.50. The total volume of shares traded was 400,117.00 at the BSE (Wednesday).
