Indian equities continued to rally in early trade for the second day on Tuesday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 652.85 points or 1.50% at 44,095.85, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 212.55 points or 1.67%, at 12,932.50.
At 11.29 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 113.02 points or 0.26% at 43,751 with 20 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 35.75 points or 0.28% at 12,812.50 with 34 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Tata Steel (6.94%), State Bank Of India (3%), Larsen & Toubro (2.73%), IndusInd Bank (1.77%), HDFC Bank (1.73%), and Ultra Tech Cement (1.11%).
On the other hand, NTPC (2.03%), HCL Technologies (1.24%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.31%), Infosys (1.27%) and ICICI Bank (1.04%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 1,311 advances against 1210 declines.
