HDFC Bank announced a steady growth in standalone net profit for the quarter ended June 2018. During the quarter, the profit of the bank rose 18.17% to Rs 46,014.40 million from Rs 38,938.40 million in the same quarter previous year.

Total Income for the quarter rose 18.85% to Rs 263,670.40 million, compared with Rs 221,854 million for the prior year period.

Provisions and contingencies for the quarter ended June 30, 2018 were Rs 16.29 billion as against Rs 15.58 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.

Shares of the bank declined Rs 22.1, or 1.01%, to trade at Rs 2,168.00. The total volume of shares traded was 68,848 at the BSE (10.30 a.m., Monday).
