The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) will construct an iconic bridge across the river Krishna at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.

The heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction will design and construct a 3.2 km, six-lane iconic bridge across the river Krishna, which includes 2.72 km of approach bridges, on EPC basis.

The bridge will connect Pavitrasangamam in Vijayawada and N10 Road in Amaravati. The 13.87 billion project was received from Amaravati Development Corporation (ADCL) and L&T has also been entrusted with the operation Et maintenance for the bridge for 5 years.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.75, or 0.28%, to trade at Rs 1,346.35. The total volume of shares traded was 11,694 at the BSE (9.40 a.m., Tuesday).
