Indian equities traded higher on Monday. At 9.34 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 172.62 points or 0.49% at 35,616.29. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 44.80 points or 0.42% at 10,812.45.
Major gainers in the 30-share index were Reliance Industries (1.54%), Bharti Airtel (1.46%), Coal India (1.40%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (1.13%), Cipla (1.11%), and State Bank Of India (0.99%).
On the other hand, ICICI Bank (1.14%), Axis Bank (0.83%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (0.20%), Tata Motors (0.11%), and Housing Development Finance Corporation (0.06%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
