Reliance Capital announced a marginal rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2017. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 2.64% to Rs 4.28 billion from Rs 4.17 billion in the same quarter previous year. On sequential basis, the company registered up 35.87% in the net profit.
Revenues for the quarter declined marginally 1.55% to Rs 50.07 billion, compared with Rs 50.86 billion for the prior year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 16.94, registering 2.67% growth over previous year period.
Reliance Capital's consolidated net profit for the financial year 2017-18 rose by 20.53 per cent to Rs 13.09 billion against Rs 10.86 billion in the previous year.
The company's FY18 total income of Rs 198.98 billion, as against Rs 176.40 billion in the corresponding previous year, an increase of 13%.
Shares of the company gained Rs 9.6, or 2.25%, to trade at Rs 436.75. The total volume of shares traded was 199,513 at the BSE (11.13 a.m., Friday).
