Indian markets bounced back on Thursday snapping earlier losses. At 9.27 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 137.46 points or 0.42% at 32,897.90 with 23 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 29.35 points or 0.29% at 10,147.40 with 36 components gaining.
Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were Reliance Industries (1.60%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.58%), Larsen & Toubro (1.21%), Tata Motors (1.17%), and Bharti Airtel (1.12%).
On the other hand, Coal India (1.05%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (0.91%), Hero Motocorp (0.57%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (0.36%), and Infosys (0.18%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 986 advances against 395 declines.
Vipul topped the value chart on the BSE with a turnover of Rs. 263.06 million. It was followed by Astral Poly Technik (Rs. 244.39 million), Housing Development Finance Corporation (Rs. 178.49 million) and Reliance Capital (Rs. 156.71 million).
The volume chart was led by Vipul with trades of over 3.03 million shares. It was followed by Suzlon Energy (2.89 million), Reliance Communications (2.66 million) and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (0.97 million).
