Dollar-rupee futures gained on Tuesday. USDINR July contract went up 3 paise or 0.05 percent at 64.41 as against previous close of 64.37.
The most active July contract witnessed a high of 64.4325 and a low of 64.385 after opening at 64.43.
A total of 0.11 million contracts were traded till 09:41 pm. Turnover for July contract was at Rs6.96 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 0.84 million.
In spot market, rupee has declined 2 paise or 0.03 percent against dollar to trade at 64.36.
Local stock markets continued to gain for the third day on Tuesday. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading at a new life time high. At 9.34 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 63.10 points or 0.20% at 32,308.97 with 19 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 11.05 points or 0.11% at 9,977.45 with 33 components gaining.
