Indian rupee has declined against US dollar on Monday. Local currency fell 2 paise or 0.03 percent against dollar to settle at 64.34.
Rupee has witnessed a high of 64.31 and a low of 64.46. Its 52-week range was 63.93-68.86.
The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, rose 0.18 percent to settle at 94.02.
Local stock markets ended higher on Monday. Both Sensex and Nifty traded at a new life time high. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 216.98 or 0.68% at 32,245.87 with 18 components posting rise. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty climbed by 51.15 or 0.52% at 9,966.40 with 25 components posting rise.
