ACC, one of the leading cement makers, witnessed a rise in share price on Tuesday after the company disclosed a substantial rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 2017. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 32.58% to Rs 3,262.30 million from Rs 2,460.70 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter rose 20.32% to Rs 39,854.00 million, compared with Rs 33,123 million for the prior year period.
Shares of ACC are trading at Rs 1,782.50, up Rs 31.25, or 1.78% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday at 9:36 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,809.80 and low of Rs 1,765.00. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 52,839.
Total volume of shares traded on the bourses today was higher by 75.90% to 705,609 compared with 22-day average volume of 401,153.
