Dollar-rupee futures gained on Tuesday. USDINR June contract went up 12 paise or 0.19 percent at 64.87 as against previous close of 64.75.
The most active June contract touched a high of 64.9 and a low of 64.785 after opening at 64.79.
A total of 0.1 million contracts were traded till 09:37 pm. Turnover for June contract was at Rs6.50 billion. Meanwhile, open interest was at 1.27 million.
In spot market, rupee has declined 16 paise or 0.25 percent against dollar to trade at 64.66.
Local stock markets continued to rally for the fourth day on Tuesday. At 9.33 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 22.63 points or 0.07% at 31,131.91 with 16 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 4.40 points or 0.05% at 9,600.50 with 30 components falling.
