The international crude oil price of Indian basket gained 1.64% to USD 50.73 a barrel (bbl) on March 29, 2017 as against USD 49.91 a bbl on March 28, 2017.

In rupee terms, the price of Indian basket increased to Rs 3,295.10 a bbl on March 29, 2017 as compared to Rs 3,248.46 a bbl on March 28, 2017.

Rupee closed stronger at Rs 64.96 per USD on March 29, 2017 as compared to Rs 65.09 per USD on March 28, 2017.

Local stock markets gained on Thursday. At 02.00 p.m, the Sensex was trading up 33.00 points or 0.11% at 29,564.43 with 16 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 0.40 points or 0.00% at 9,144.20 with 29 components gaining.
