Indian equities continued to rally for the third day on Thursday. At 9.18 a.m, the Sensex was trading up 52.09 points or 0.18% at 29,583.52 with 20 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 1.20 points or 0.01% at 9,142.60 with 14 components falling.
Major gainers in the 30-share index were Reliance Industries (0.71%), State Bank Of India (0.70%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.45%), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (0.42%), GAIL (India) (0.37%), and ITC (0.37%).
On the other hand, Axis Bank (1.30%), Tata Motors (0.67%), Bharti Airtel (0.48%), Hindustan Unilever (0.24%), ICICI Bank (0.23%), and Tata Steel (0.08%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
Market breadth was positive with 768 advances against 231 declines.
