Indian rupee has depreciated against US dollar on Friday. Local currency fell 10 paise or 0.16 percent against dollar to settle at 64.14. Rupee has witnessed a high of 63.99 and a low of 64.17. Its 52-week range was 60.20-64.30.

The Dollar index, a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of foreign currencies, fell 0.25 percent to settle at 97.32.

On Thursday, rupee has declined 14 paise or 0.22 percent against dollar to settle at 64.04.

Local stock markets witnessed a stellar rally led by realty and auto stocks. At the close, the benchmark 30-share index, BSE Sensex added 409.21 points or 1.48% at 28,114.56. Meanwhile, the broad based NSE Nifty went up by 111.05 points or 1.32% at 8,532.85.
