Deutsche Asset Management India today announced the launch of DWS Large Cap Fund - Series 3, a 1281 days close ended equity fund. The New Fund Offer period is from April 10 to April 20, 2015.

The objective of the scheme is to generate capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of equity and equity related securities of large cap companies in India.

Suresh Soni, MD & CEO, Deutsche Asset Management India said, "DWS Large Cap Fund - Series 3, is an ideal investment solution for investors seeking to participate in the growth of Indian equity markets. Macro-economic outlook of India continues to improve with growth picking up, monetary easing continuing, inflation cooling off and a low current account deficit helped by low oil prices. These trends augur well for the markets and we are confident that investors will benefit from the growth prospects of large cap stocks."

The fund portfolio will comprise 70% - 100% of large-cap companies, 0%-30% of non large cap companies and 0-10% of debt and money market instruments.  The equity fund management team is led by Akash Singhania.

Akash Singhania, Head of Equity, Deutsche Asset Management India said, "Large Cap stocks are a proxy for the Indian economy and contribute over 60% to India’s total market cap. Strong fundamentals, with low leverage, high margins and attractive return ratios are the main features of these stocks. They offer steady earnings growth with low volatility and are currently at attractive valuations compared to global equity markets. We remain positive on Indian equity markets based on improvement in domestic macro, acceleration in earnings growth over the next two years and reasonable valuations."
