Bajaj Auto, one of the leading 2 and 3 wheeler makers, announced a slight fall of 18% in sales to 2,50,604 units in March compared to 3,04,317 units sold in last year period. Motorcycle sales also decreased by 22% from a year ago to 2,09,937 units, while commercial vehicle sales were up 21% to 40,667 units.
In the month of February, the company announced a slight fall of 22% in sales to 2,43,319 units in February compared to 3,13,294 units sold in last year period. Motorcycle sales also decreased by 21% from a year ago to 2,16,077 units, while commercial vehicle sales were down 32% to 27,242 units.
Shares of the company declined Rs 15.75, or 0.78%, to trade at Rs 2,002.90. The total volume of shares traded was 10,656 at the BSE (11.00 a.m., Monday).
