HDFC Bank, Lupin shares gained on Thursday after the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) Wednesday cleared the proposal of HDFC Bank to hike its foreign holding limit to 74%, and at the same time also approved a proposal by Lupin to raise the cap on foreign institutional investor holding to 49%.
Shares of the HDFC Bank gained Rs 21.4, or 2.02%, to trade at Rs 1,079.50. The total volume of shares traded was 71,659 at the BSE (11.40 a.m., Thursday).
Shares of the Lupin gained Rs 26.65, or 1.76%, to trade at Rs 1,540. The total volume of shares traded was 41,574 at the BSE (11.40 a.m., Thursday).
