Mphasis, a provider of IT applications, infrastructure and BPO services, witnessed a fall in share price on Thursday after it reported weak earnings in second quarter of FY15. It reported a fall of 15.78% in the consolidated net profit of Rs 1.60 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 1.90 billion in the same period last year.
Revenues on the other hand were at Rs 14.65 billion for quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014, registering fall of 8.10% year on year.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 405, down Rs 8.5, or 2.06% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 10:53 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 409 and low of Rs 395. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 8,525.
