''The rupee ended slightly weaker on Wednesday as caution prevailed ahead of the outcome of the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting later in the day, although broader sentiment remained positive following continued foreign inflows. The Indian currency ended the day at 61.35, down 0.05% from its previous close of 61.32. The dollar index against six major currencies closed at 85.99, up 0.67% from its previous close of 85.41,'' said ICICIdirect in its report.

ICICIdirect expects the US dollar to garner buying support on declines against the rupee. ''Utilize declines in the USD/INR November contract to buy. USD/INR November futures in the range of 61.48-61.58 with target 61.72-61.90.''

''In the currency futures market, the most traded dollar-rupee November contract on the NSE closed at 61.67. The November contract open interest was up 28.16% from the previous day.''
