Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), leading housing finance provider, today reported a rise of 9.16% in consolidated profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014. It has reported profit of Rs 20.64 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 18.91 billion in the same period last year.

Total income increased to Rs 116.08 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 99.71 billion for the year ago period, representing an increase of 16.42%.

Shares of the company gained Rs 5.5, or 0.54%, to trade at Rs 1,026.85. The total volume of shares traded was 86,386 at the BSE (2.39 p.m., Wednesday).
