Indian government bond yields witnessed a divergent trend on Tuesday. The 10-year 7.16% G-sec 2023 declined 1 basis point to trade at 8.56% as compared to 8.57% on last trading day. Meanwhile 7.28% G sec 2019 was unchanged to trade at 8.36% as compared to last trading day.
Today call money weighted average rate (WAR) rose 46 basis points to 8.70% compared with 8.24% on last trading day. As at 10.14 am, call rate was 8.70% after touching high of 8.80% and low of 8.50%. It opened at 8.70%. Turnover of the call market stood at Rs 76.98 billion compared with Rs 177.78 billion on previous day.
