European stocks may open lower on Tuesday. Europe's leading blue-chip index EURO STOXX 50 Index futures went down 0.31% to trade at 2,913. Germany's benchmark index DAX futures went down 0.09% to trade at 8,714. UK's benchmark index, FTSE 100 futures decreased to 0.25% to trade at 6,224.5.

On Monday, European stock markets settled lower. Europe's leading Blue-chip index, EURO STOXX 50 lost 34.94 points or 1.19 percent to settle at 2,927.30. UK's benchmark index FTSE 100 lost 43.22 points or 0.69 percent to close at 6,267.07. Germany's benchmark index DAX fell 132.51 points or 1.5 percent to end at 8,717.76. French benchmark index CAC 40 lost 41.94 points or 1.04 percent to end at 3,991.24.
