Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in Coal India, an Indian state-controlled coal mining company. FIIs' shareholding decreased by 15 basis points to 5.37 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 5.52 percent as on June 30, 2014.
However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have increased shareholding in the company. DIIs' shareholding increased by 17 basis points to 2.97 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 2.80 percent as on June 30, 2014.
Non Institutions were holding 2.01 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, down 2 basis points from 2.03 percent as on June 30, 2014.
Corporate bodies were holding 0.63 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, down 7 basis points from 0.70 percent as on June 30, 2014.
On the other hand, promoters' shareholding was unchanged at 89.65 percent at the end of September 2014.
Shares of the company gained Rs 2.7, or 0.77%, to settle at Rs 351.55. The total volume of shares traded was 283,499 at the BSE (Friday).
