DB Corp reported a subdued set of results for 2QFY2015, both on the top-line and bottom-line front. The company's top-line grew by 10% yoy to Rs 4.80 billion due to 7% yoy growth in advertising revenue (which is lower than expectations).
However, the company's circulation revenue reported a decent top-line growth of 15% during the quarter.
Commenting on the result, Amarjeet Maurya, research analyst, media, Angel Broking said, "The company reported an operating profit of Rs 1.23 billion for 2QFY2015 (up 15% yoy). Further, the company's operating margin expanded by 113bp yoy to 25.7% primarily on account of reduction in losses of emerging editions. Consequently, net profit grew by 13% yoy to Rs 680 million. We remain neutral on the stock.''
